Skim the chapter for places to put check points:

At the end of sections.

In the middle of long sections.

Start reading at the beginning. 

Stop at each check point.  Ask

            What did you want to get out of this part?

            Did you get what you wanted?

            Will you make marks to show what you got?

            Will you make notes to show what you need to get?

            How is this working for you?
