Dann Numbers
(Outworld name: Dann Russo) Dann Russo pours rock, blues, country, gospel and every other type of real down-home music into his performance like the sweat that pours from his brow. He doesn't strum - he beats his guitar, wrenching emotion out of it. He doesn't sing - he energizes crowds with his sometimes gruff, sometimes gravelly, sometimes sweet voice. |

Djai Skjellerup Genre: I am a piano based singer/songwriter and I like to believe that I write the sort of songs you think you know already.....but not because I am plagiarizing!!! My modus operandi is to write catchy melodies with grown up lyrics. You only have to hear them once or twice and they become an "earworm", trapping themselves in your subconscious mind. |

Forsythe Whitfield Genre: blues, piedmont style picking and delta slide guitar Forsythe Whitfield was born singing the blues. He came into this world crying and he carrys the torch for other lonely souls wherever he goes. His music is a mix of piedmont style picking and delta slide guitar. He mixes his slide with a raw sense of humour and solid mature songwriting. Preferring to work without the trappings of modern musical performance he creates all his music on an old resonator guitar with a bottlneck slide to sing harmony with him. The man behind Forsythe Whitfield has been a professional blues player in Canada for over a decade now playing thousands of shows all across the nation. He has logged more time in a car than he would care to admit and has visited every small town in Canada carrying his message with him. |

Truelie Telling All you're likely to hear when Truelie sings is original songs... but what originality! What variety! What style! What humor! What tenderness! What love! What chutzpah! (See, she's lying already...) She plays guitar and sings in a rambling rumbling vocal style that has been compared to every and any chick singer from the '40s to the '00s, but doesn't really sound like anyone else. Truelie has been making up tunes since she was in the crib, so she got here with a big catalog of original songs. And she loves loves loves Second Life and has been writing songs about it since she moved here, in December of 2007. So you can expect to hear songs about rl and sl, although sometimes she's confused about which is which. She calls herself a country-punk-folk-jazz-comedy-rock performer who has overcome her classical training, with the heart of an old hippy happily inhabiting a much younger, much more beautiful avvie. |

Vienna James Vienna (aka 'V') has been singing in choirs since she was 10 years old and, inspired by local homeboy musician Billy Joel, V started writing her own original tunes when she was 16. She often fooled NY club owners into thinking she was 18, letting her get on stage in between acts and perform some of her tunes. Influenced by Eva Cassidy, now Vienna enjoys singing to her favorite artists - Garbage, Alanis Morrisette, Evanescense, Tori Amos, and classic tunes from the 80s. And maybe, just maybe, she'll pull out an original tune just to throw you off www.myspace.com/viennajames Group: Vienna's Juxtaposition |
