How to get into Second Life
without really trying Selby Evans is Thinkerer Melville in Second Life |
|
Most people seem to have their language channels going all the time. You may have noticed that. The imaginative parts of your brain may not turn on so easily. If you are reading, part of your visual system will be busy with reading. That system probably won’t be available to give you visual images. You need to take time to see the meaning behind the words. Take time to see the events beyond the text. Stop reading and imagine. If you are writing or preparing a presentation, imagine your audience. Imagine the questions they might ask you. If you are planning, let your head see the actions you are planning. If you are studying, imagine what you will do with what you are studying. Nobody does anything in the abstract. You do not waste time when you let your brain work things over. You save time in what you remember, how you understand it, and how you use what you found out.
There is no greater waste of time |
