Market to your brain.  Trial run

Goal:  Substitute carrot sticks for pretzels (or something like that).
One month demonstration.

Make up several strips of paper that say “CARROT STICKS.”   Put one strip with your shopping list.  Put one with your credit cards.  Tape two strips on your box of pretzels in a way that fastens it closed.    Put the pretzels in the refrigerator near the carrot sticks.

That’s it.  If you find yourself agonizing over pretzel sticks, you picked the wrong goal.  Eat your pretzels and look for an easier goal.  But most likely, you will have a month without pretzels and wind up wondering what good it did you.

Don’t get confused on goals.  You goal was not weight loss.  It was to demonstrate how you can change a habit by marketing to your brain.

If you want to lose weight, you will need more marketing campaigns.  But what worked for pretzels will probably work for something else.  But only if you try it.

If you don't try it, it won't work.
